Eric Myhill was a teacher of English at High Schools for 9 and a half years before training teachers at Soweto College of Education for three and a half years.
He has been practicing as an advocate at the Johannesburg Bar since July 1994 and he specializes in labour law and personal injury law. During 1997 he completed a Higher Diploma in Arbitration through the Association of Arbitrators and was a Fellow of the Association of Arbitrators for 5 years. During 1998 he was appointed as a part-time commissioner at the CCMA and was appointed as a senior commissioner (part-time) during 2007. He has had a number of his awards as a commissioner published by Juta and Butterworths. He has been a member of the Employment Discipline Panel of the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa (AFSA) since June 1998. He has been a legal adviser to disciplinary hearings of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. He has also chaired a number of private disciplinary hearings.
Eric is a member of the South African Society of Labour Law (SASLAW) and attends their seminars on a regular basis.
Eric is based in Johannesburg.
