Jayshree was admitted as an attorney in July 1996. In 1998 she began practicing as sole practitioner and opened her practice as Jayshree Moodley & Associates.
Jayshree represents both Employers and Employees at Internal Disciplinary Hearings and the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA), Bargaining Councils and Labour Court in unfair dismissal disputes, unfair labour practice disputes and retrenchment matters. She is an experienced trainer of Employment and Labour Law courses and trained courses in Disciplinary Skills, Conflict Resolution and Negotiation Skills, Employment Equity, Managing Racism and Sexual Harassment in the Workplace, Con-Arb, Investigation Techniques and Report Writing courses for companies and government departments nationally.
Jayshree chairs a number of internal disciplinary hearings for private institutions and corporate entities. She has conducted investigations and submitted recommendations or acted as a prosecutor of hearings for Corporate Entities. Her experience in this arena encompasses dealing with all type of misconduct matters and includes dealing with sensitive and confidential cases which include but is not limited to matters involving racism, sexual harassment and conflict between senior managerial employees. She trained as a mediator with the Mediation Institute of South Africa. Jayshree has also facilitated the negotiation and conclusion of a number of recognition agreements between unions and management.
She is a Board Member of TREE, an NGO and has recently been appointed to the Municipal Bids Appeal Tribunal for the UGU District in KZN. She is also a member of the KZN Chapter of SASLAW and served as president of SASLAW from May 2007 to May 2009.
