Adv. Kenny Mosime is an admitted advocate of the High Court of South Africa, in private practice and a member of the Johannesburg Bar of the Society of Advocates. He has also been appointed Acting Judge of the Labour Court.
Adv. Kenny Mosime has combined skills and wide experience in dispute resolution (ADR), training, management and facilitation. He was formerly a student leader, a political activist, a trade unionist (NUM), a researcher and trainer in Labour Law for CALS at Wits University, and a director of Monitoring and Evaluation of transformation policies at the Gauteng Public Services Commission. He was a Convening Senior Commissioner (CSC) the CCMA in Gauteng (1997 – 2002), and then a National Senior Commissioner of the CCMA responsible for dispute prevention. He was also a senior member of the CCMA’s National Directorate. He continues to consult in workplace solutions. His specific areas of focus include Labour Law, Dispute Resolution, training, facilitation and building workplace relations. He is Part-Time Senior Commissioner of the CCMA, a trainer of CCMA Commissioners and Bargaining Council Agents; and a senior panellist of TOKISO Dispute Settlement agency.
Kenny is a UNISA law graduate (B Iuris and LLB) and also holds a certificate in labour studies from Harvard University Law School in Boston (1994). He is also formerly a part-time lecturer (Advanced Industrial Relations IV) at the University of Johannesburg. He has co-written a book on the arbitration process.
