Craig was formerly an academic at the University of the Western Cape where he taught labour law at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Craig has published widely and delivered conference papers on various topics including unfair dismissal, collective bargaining and transfers of businesses. His area of particular expertise is the employment consequences of transfers of businesses. He is a research associate of the Faculty of Law at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University.
Craig is a part-time senior commissioner at the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) and has been a panellist for the Education Labour Relations Council, the General Public Sector Co-ordinating Bargaining Council, the Clothing Manufacturing Industry Bargaining Council and South African Local Government Bargaining Council.
He is currently an advocate practicing at the Cape Bar.
Craig is based in Cape Town.
